Artisan Trades

Hands-on skills for a building economy

Our Artisan Trades programme provides practical, accredited training in high-demand trade skills. Learners gain hands-on experience in real-world environments, preparing them for employment or self-employment in the construction and maintenance sectors.

The programme covers carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical work, and general construction. Training is delivered by experienced trade professionals and includes both theory and practical components. Learners who complete the programme receive a certificate of competence.

Eligibility Requirements

  • South African citizen or permanent resident
  • Minimum Grade 9 (or equivalent)

Digital Literacy

Opening doors to the digital economy

In a world driven by technology, digital skills are no longer optional. Our Digital Literacy programme equips community members with the foundational and intermediate digital skills needed to participate in the modern economy — from basic computer use to online business tools.

Modules include computer basics, internet navigation, email communication, Microsoft Office essentials, social media for business, and introduction to e-commerce. The programme is designed to be accessible to beginners while offering pathways to more advanced digital skills.

What You’ll Gain

Entrepreneurship

From idea to sustainable business

Our Entrepreneurship programme is designed for aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs who want to turn their ideas into viable, sustainable businesses. We combine business fundamentals with practical mentorship and market access support.

The curriculum covers business planning, financial management, marketing, customer service, legal compliance, and access to funding. Participants develop a full business plan and pitch to a panel of business mentors at the end of the programme. Top graduates receive seed funding consideration.

Life Skills

The foundation for everything else

Life skills are the bedrock of personal and professional success. Our Life Skills programme addresses the often-overlooked but critical competencies that enable individuals to navigate challenges, build relationships, manage their finances, and lead with confidence.

Topics include communication and conflict resolution, personal financial literacy, goal setting and time management, leadership and teamwork, health and wellness, and civic responsibility. The programme is highly interactive, using group work, role-play, and real-life case studies.
